Security assessment & risk intelligence

From Security Assessment to Actionable Risk Intelligence

ZERO assesses your authorized targets, discovers security findings, collects the evidence behind them and builds the surrounding context. ZERO AI then analyzes that security picture to show what matters, why it matters and what to do next.

ZERO is in active development. Demos and early conversations are available on request.

The problem

Finding problems is half an assessment. Understanding them is the other half.

A typical assessment runs separate tools for the network, web applications and configuration, each with its own output format and severity scale. Correlating the results, weeding out false positives, working out what is exposed and writing it up for others is still largely manual.

At the end, the team still has to answer:

  1. Which findings actually matter?
  2. Which findings are related?
  3. Which findings are reliable?
  4. What should be investigated first?
  5. What should be fixed first?

Where assessments lose time

Separate checksOne tool per layer of the stack
Mismatched outputDifferent formats and severity scales
Detached evidenceProof kept apart from the finding
Manual correlationDuplicates and links found by hand
Missing contextExposure and asset value unclear
Hand-built reportsHours spent writing findings up

ZERO is designed to run the assessment and the analysis as one process, so every finding has its evidence and context attached as soon as it is discovered.

One platform, clear roles

ZERO finds. ZERO analyzes. ZERO explains. Your security team decides.

ZERO is the assessment platform. ZERO AI is the part of ZERO that analyzes the security picture the platform builds. People stay responsible for the decisions.

How ZERO works

From authorized target to prioritized action

ZERO runs the whole assessment, from scope to report. It assesses the target, discovers findings, collects evidence and builds context. ZERO AI then analyzes the result, and your team reviews what comes out.

ZERO Assessment

ZERO performs the security assessment

ZERO's assessment engine is being built to scan, check and test authorized targets itself, from discovering what is exposed to verifying how it is configured. Every assessment starts from a defined scope and explicit authorization. ZERO is not built to test systems you don't own or have permission to assess.

Asset discovery

Identify the hosts and components that make up the authorized target.

Service discovery

Detect exposed services, ports and the technologies behind them.

Network assessment

Assess what is reachable, and from where.

Web assessment

Test authorized web applications for application-layer issues.

API assessment

Treat API endpoints as a first-class part of the attack surface.

Vulnerability checks

Check discovered services and components for known vulnerabilities.

Configuration checks

Flag weak or risky settings, such as transport security configuration.

Evidence collection

Record the proof behind every result as it is found.

Findings & evidence

Discovered by ZERO. Evidence attached.

Findings come out of ZERO's own assessment. When a check finds something, ZERO records it in one structured finding model, together with the evidence, the affected asset and the context it was found in.

High priority

TLS Configuration Issue

Asset
api.example.local
Found by
ZERO · TLS configuration check
Confidence
High
Evidence
endpoint: https://api.example.local:443 protocols offered: TLSv1.0, TLSv1.1, TLSv1.2 legacy cipher suites accepted: 3
Why it matters
The endpoint is internet-facing and carries authentication traffic. Legacy protocols weaken transport security for any client that negotiates them. ZERO also found an outdated TLS library on the same host.
Recommended action
Disable TLS 1.0 and 1.1, restrict cipher suites to modern configurations, then re-test the endpoint to confirm the change.
Risk intelligence

Severity is a starting point. Context decides priority.

A "medium" on an internet-facing authentication service can matter more than a "high" on an isolated test machine. Because ZERO ran the assessment, it knows what it found, where it found it and how strong the evidence is. ZERO uses that to turn raw severity into a contextualized priority, and it shows the reasons behind every priority instead of hiding them in a single score.

  • SeverityThe finding's technical severity
  • ConfidenceHow reliable the result is
  • Evidence qualityWhat actually supports it
  • Asset criticalityHow important the asset is
  • ExposureWho can reach it
  • Affected serviceWhat the service does
  • RelationshipsLinks to other findings
  • Assessment contextScope, method, limitations
Conceptual example
  1. Multiple findings Discovered by different ZERO checks
Legacy TLS enabled Outdated TLS library Weak cipher suites
  2. Correlation All three affect the same host and service
  3. Asset / component api.example.local · HTTPS 443 · authentication API
  4. Risk context Internet-facing · business-critical · high-confidence evidence
  5. Priority Investigate first — with the reasons attached
ZERO AI

ZERO AI — Intelligence Behind the Assessment

ZERO performs the assessment, gathers findings and evidence, and builds the context needed to understand the target. ZERO AI analyzes that information to identify what matters, explain why it matters, and support prioritization and remediation. It works on the security picture ZERO has already built, so nothing needs to be uploaded or pasted in.

What ZERO AI helps with

  • Understanding why a finding matters in this environment
  • Explaining what the technical evidence shows
  • Identifying findings that belong together
  • Understanding potential impact
  • Prioritizing investigation
  • Suggesting remediation approaches
  • Summarizing assessment results

How it stays grounded

Evidence-grounded

Every analysis traces back to findings and evidence from ZERO's assessment.

Doesn't invent findings

ZERO AI interprets what the assessment found. It does not replace the evidence or change it.

Human review

ZERO AI supports security decisions. It does not replace the security team.

Reporting

Reports people can act on

An assessment is only useful if the right people understand it. ZERO is designed to turn each assessment it performs into a structured report for both leadership and engineers, drawn from the same findings, evidence and ZERO AI analysis. Each report states plainly what the assessment did and did not cover.

  • Executive summary for decision-makers
  • Technical detail and evidence for engineers
  • Clear, prioritized recommended actions
